Sympathy Crocus with Copics

Sympathy Crocus with Copics

As card makers, there are always cards that we hate to make, but these often become the cards that we put more of our hearts.  I never can bring myself to make a stockpile of sympathy cards, as I always want to make something special for someone who is going through a difficult time.

This card starts with the Technique Tuesday Crocus set from January 2016. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts set “Remember.” I stamped the sentiment from Technique Tuesday Lily set from February 2018 on the inside of the card.

I used the Copic colors in the photo below to color in the crocus and the leaves.

I didn’t have the “right” color of ribbon. I wanted yellow, but all I had was white.  I dyed the white ribbon with a Daffodil Delight ink pad from Stampin’ Up! I simply put on my gloves and ran the ribbon through the ink pad and let it dry over night.
